Dandeli National Park covers the area of 834.16 square kilometers. And it is among the famous tourist spots in Karnataka. Here the spectators  The sanctuary is the second largest wildlife sanctuary in Karnataka. It is an inhabitant of 40 tigers. Apart from tigers, it is a home to a numerous number of wildlife species ad bird species. The ideal time to visit the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is between March and October and is open between 6 am and 6 pm.

The sanctuary is a home to varied varieties, of flora and fauna. Sightings of Black Panther and Sloth Bear makes you feel enthralled. Moreover, the visitors can spot elephants, barking deer, Malabar giant squirrel, sloth bear, Malabar Civet, Indian Pangolin and much more. The Mugger Crocodile, Python, and King Cobra are the major reptilians in Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary.

Apart from the wildlife species, the visitors can spot the wide array of birds. The sanctuary is a habitat for over 200 species of birds makes it as the ideal place for birding. The figure is very pleasing for bird lovers. Some of the famous birds including crested serpent eagle, magpie robin, Malabar Pied, Hill Myna, Little spider hunter, Malabar Trogon, Spot Bellied,  Eurasian Cuckoo, Spotted Dove, Yellow Footed Green Pigeon,  Brown Headed Barbet, Bar Headed Geese, Golden Backed Woodpecker, Gold-fronted and Blue Winged Lead Birds, Crested Goshawk, Mottled Wood, Speckled Piculet and much more.

Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary boasts the wide ranges of flora including Bamboo, Teak,  Hirda, Behda, Mango, Jamun, Ficus, Climber, and Jamba etc.

By Air:

The nearest airports to reach the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary are Belgaum(110 km), Hubli(75 km), and Goa(150 km).

By Rail:

The nearest railheads are Alnavar (32 km) Londa (48 km), Dharwad (57 km), and Hubli (75 km).

By Road:

Dandeli is well connected to all the major cities of the country.
