Narayan Sarovar Wildlife Sanctuary, home to varied species of flora and fauna located in Kutch district of the Indian state Gujarat. The sanctuary spread over an area of about 444.23 square Kilometres, established in 1981, near to Narayan Sarovar in Lakhpat. Travellers visit the destination all the year around. The destination filled with many wildlife attractions, desert forest, birds, 252 species of flowering plants and it is a home for 15 rare threatened species of species, Chinkara and especially for Cheetahs. Climate Conditions and Best Time:
The Narayan Sarovar Wildlife Sanctuary experiencing hot and humid climate. Summer season starts from the month of March and ends in June. During the period the climate is very hot and the temperature ranges between 39 to 42-degree Celsius. In Kutch June to September treated as Monsoon occasion. Very cool and normal rainfall occurs during the period. Winter session starts from the month November and continues until February, experiencing the cool atmosphere and the temperature recorded during the period of about 10 to 13 degree Celsius.

Wildlife At Narayan Sarovar Wildlife Sanctuary:
The Narayan Sarovar Wildlife Sanctuary has a desert forest and having a seasonal wetland. The park known for its most populous animal Chinkara. Morethan 1200 numbers of Chinkaras has preserved here and it is the most sighted animal in the sanctuary. Visitors can find vegetation containing scrub & thorn forests, flowering plants, rare animals and birds. Blue Bull, honey badger, Spotted-deer, wild boar, wildcats, peacocks, desert foxes, blackbuck, Hyena etc. are the animals preserved in the sanctuary.
This sanctuary home for more than 150 species of birds like lesser florican, great Indian Bustard, raptors etc and also home to migratory birds. Interpretation centre, biodiversity conservation, fruit trees and flowering plants are the main attraction in the destination. Kutch Museum, Aina Mahal, Prag Mahal and Temples are the other attractions near the sanctuary.
