If you want to experience the nature of Franz Josef Fjord glacier, then you can visit Northeast Greenland National Park in Greenland. It was the first national park in to be created in Kingdom Denmark and only the park in Greenland. We know that NE Greenland National Park is the world’s largest park and is bigger than all twenty-nine countries in the world. The park was established in 1974 with an area of 9,72,000 square kilometres. Thousands of nature enthusiasts and regular visitors explored this Park during their vacation holidays. The Visitors can stay and travel within the National Park by obtaining the special permission from Ministry of Nature and Environment. The world’s largest national park is so remote and largely inaccessible that it’s home to far more animals than humans. NE Greenland National Park area is protected by the Greenland Department of Environment and Nature.

Mammals

The park is a home to several animals and birds. Due to its northern location, Plants and animals in NE Greenland National Park are limited. You can find a limited number of birds in this park. It is home to 5 to 15 thousand Musk-ox. Polar Bear, Walrus, Arctic Fox, Stoat, Collared Lemming, Arctic Hare are other available mammals in NE Greenland Park. It also a home to Marine mammals include ringed seal, bearded seal, harp seal, hooded seal, narwhal, and Beluga whale.

Birds

Great northern diver, barnacle goose, pink-footed goose, common eider, king eider, gyrfalcon, snowy owl, sanderling, ptarmigan and raven are the known bird species in this park.  

Other Tourist Attractions In NE Greenland National Park

Kaiser Franz Joseph Fjord, the famous tourist attraction in NEG National Park. It is the major Fjord system in East Greenland. It is located in the Greenland Sea. Summer is the best season to explore the scenic environment of this Fjord. Generally, the Fjord is formed when a glacier cuts a U-shape valley by ice segregation. Trekking is another major tourist attraction in this park. Iceberg at NE Greenland Park attracted thousands of travellers from all over the world.
