Ratapani, a protected tiger reserve located in Raisen district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is situated in the Vindhya Ranges and marked as one of the finest teak trees forest close to the Bhopal City spread over an area of 823 Square Kilometres. The place filled with many beautiful attractions surrounded by the rivers Narmada and Kolar spotted as an interesting holiday place for wildlife lovers. Initially, it started as a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1976, later Government Of India declared it as a Tiger reserve project in 2013 and also got named in UNESCO world heritage sites. Ratapani experience a moderate climate all the year around. Summer season starts from the month of March and lasts until May. During the period the temperature ranges between 22 to 45-degree Celsius. Monsoon prevails from Mid-June to Septemeber, heavy rainfall occurs. Climate turns very cool and the sanctuary remains closed until monsoon ends. Winter session starts from November and continues up to February. The temperature recorded in this period of about 12 to 30-degree Celsius.

The best season to visit Ratapani Tiger Reserve is the winter season. The temperature remains comfortable and is apt for visiting the places of interest in the destination. October, November, December, January, February and March are the best months to explore Ratapani.
