Taj Mahotsav 2018 – Taj Festival, Agra, Uttar Pradesh

Taj Mahotsav, an annual 10 days event celebrated at Shilpagram, Agra in India. This festival celebrations are held from 18th February to 27 February every year. It is one of the major festival celebrations of Agra. Hundreds of visitors from different parts of India participated in this celebrations every year. It is the festival of Arts and traditional culture of Agra. This festival invokes the memories of old Mughal era and Nawabi style prevalent in Uttar Pradesh. In Taj Mahotsav 2018 celebrations, travelers may explore the culture of Mughal and traditional activities.

Description Of Taj Mahotsav In Agra 

Taj Festival is a traditional fair celebrations in Agra. It is the most important fairs of this city in Uttar Pradesh. Arts & Crafts, Culture & cuisine are main things of this fair. Taj Festival being celebrated successfully since 1992. The main concept of this festival to promote the country’s rich Arts and Crafts. Starts with a procession, master crafts mens, bejeweled elephants, camels, drum beaters. Holy is the major attraction of this celebrations.

Arts & Crafts In Taj Festival 

More than 400 artisans get opportunities from different parts of India to display their works in celebrations. Travelers may explore different arts like Stone carvings from Tamil Nadu, Bamboo works from North east India, Paper mash works from South India & Kashmir, Hand Made Carpets from Bhadohi, Moradabad brass Wares, Agra Marble works, Saharanpur wood carvings, and Silk & Zari works from Banaras. Every Year Taj Mahotsav celebrated with a message or Theme of the world.

Entry Fee 

  • Entry ticket is Rs. 40/- per person, (children under age 10 are free).
  • All foreign visitors have free entry.
