Valley Of Flowers is an Indian oldest National Park. It has situated in Western Himalayas of Uttarakhand. It receives heavy rainfall from July to September months.  From M id of April to June months temperature range up to Maximum of 19 Degree Celsius.  It has also received Rain Falls in Summer due to Summer Monsoon session. The Valley of Flowers remains blooms for Three months. It has home for Mammals, Birds, Butterflies, Reptiles. Hundreds of Flowers blooming with vivid colors in this valley during the summer session.


13 variate species of Animals founded here. And other wild animals stay here. Deer, Asiatic Elephants, Hippopotamus, Crocodiles, Leopard Cats, Fishing Cats, Tigers, Foxs, Python, King Cobra, Rex Fox, Vulpes, Himalayan Weasel, Flying Squirrel, Himalayan Balck  Bear, Goral, Blue Sheep, Musk Deer, Himalayan Thar, Serow Capricorns, Yellow-Billed.


Not Many bird species have found here. Himalayan Vulture, Snow Pigeon, Yellow- Nape Woodpecker.


The Valley od Flowers has Three Sub- Alpines between 3200 to 3500 which is the limit for trees, and Lower Alpine between 3000 to 3500 and Higher rocky 3500 meters above. The valley of flowers has more than 580 species of Vegans. Grass, Scrub, and Palm trees. The Valley of Flowers has close to Haridwar, Dehradun, Rishikesh.

By Airport

Nearest Airport to reach Valley of Flowers Park is from Dehradun to Delhi. Dehradun and Delhi you can travel on Road.

By Railway

The nearest Railway line to visit Valley is Rishikesh. 

By Raod

The Valley of Flowers sanctuary well connected with road line. You can travel by Car or bus up to Govindghat. After that, you can reach valley by Trekking, Pony, helicopter, Porters. These are available for Different prices.


There are several options for Hotels and guesthouses, Resorts available here in any time. You can stay in Joshimath. Here government runs a hotel called as Gharwal Mandal Vikas Guesthouse. The living facilities of this guesthouse to yet to be excellent but several options available. 

Entry Fee Details

Entry Fee for Indian Rs. 150 for each Indian tourist. And Additional day charges is Rs. 50. For Foreign country visitors entry fee Ra. 250 and for Each Additional Chagres is Rs. 150. The Valley of Flowers National Park attracted the visitors with Plenty of flowers, wild animals, Different types of birds, Floras. It has one of the famous attraction in Foothills of Himalayan in Uttarakhand.
