Ziro hill station, a hill located in Lower Subansiri district of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. The valley noted as one of the most visited hill stations in this state and known for world heritage sites. The Hill station has located at an elevation of 1700 meters above the sea level. The Ziro Valley Hill Station provides a wide range of tourist attractions to the travelers and adventure seekers. Weather And Best Time To Visit:

Ziro hill station is one of the most picturesque hill places in the state. The climate of Ziro remains cool and apt for sightseeing. 

  • Summer starts in the month of March and continues until May. During the period the temperature recorded of about 8 to 26-degree Celsius.
  • June to September observed as the monsoon in the destination. Climate is cool and receives heavy rainfall.
  • Winter occasion starts in December and lasts in February. During winter  Ziro experiences a cool climate and the temperature recorded of about  2 to 17-degree Celsius.

The best time to explore Ziro hill station in Winter as well as in Summer. November, December, January, February, March and April are the best months to enjoy the beauty of nature. 

Tourist Attractions At Ziro hill station:

Ziro hill station has very little tourist sights to explore. It is rich in biological diversity with flora and fauna. Five small rivulets namely Subansiri, Dafala Nyshi, Apatani, and Miri flow nearby. Kile Pakho, one of the high mountain ridge, where travelers can view the Eastern Himalayas. Ziro boasts some peaks also; one is the Salin peak on the old Apatani trade route to North Lakhimpur. Government Handicraft Centre, from where one can collect hat made of bamboo or cane, textiles woven by the tribals and colourful shawls.

An extraordinarily crafted metal replica of the Mithun is available from here. Interesting other sightseeing places include the 5000 years old Meghna Cave Temple, Tarin Fish Farm,  Sidheshwar Nath Shiv Linga, and ‘Pine Grove’. Trekking through the hill gives a wonderful experience to the tourists.

How To Reach:

Ziro hill station well connected to all the major destinations in the state. Travellers can reach the destination via by Air, Train and by Roadways. 

Air: The nearest located at Lilabari, which is 100 km away from the hill station. Regular flights connect to all major airports in North India. 

Train: North Lakhimpur is the nearest railway station, daily trains from Guwahati, Tezpur to reach the destination.

Road: Ziro well connected by road. Government buses and private vehicles available at Guwahati, Tezpur to reach.
