Our spring and autumn programs run from May to mid-November. Since it’s the north, the weather is always different. In May, snow is still present in some areas, and by October, snow starts to fall. If your trip falls during this time, it's better to dress as if it's winter. In summer, temperatures can range from +5°C to +25°C. However, even if you come in the height of summer, it’s essential to bring a fleece, windproof jacket, light hat, and raincoat, because the weather in the north is very changeable.

Of course, it can be salted, smoked, or dried fish — cod, halibut, salmon, or Murmansk ruffe. Tundra berries jam, sauce, or liqueur can also be a nice souvenir. Also, fur and horn products from northern reindeer would be an excellent thing to bring back home.

The Barents Sea is home to a vast number of mammals. Minke whales (also known as small striped whales), as well as white-bellied red-listed dolphins, sea pigs, and seals, can be observed all year round. Humpback whales are in our waters from mid-April to the end of August, and they return again in winter, from mid-November to the end of February. Orcas and fin whales are also frequent visitors, but these animals are usually just passing through and don’t stay for long. In addition to these animals, walruses have been spotted several times, but this is more of an exception.

It is possible, but with some caution and preparation. Even in summer, the sea temperature doesn't exceed 5°C, so if you've never immersed yourself in cold water, you need to do it carefully, assessing your health beforehand. For those who fear cold water, our tours allow you to dip into the sea after a bath, which is located right on the shore!

The Arctic is not only beautiful nature but also a harsh northern climate. So, you will definitely need the following items:

• Windproof jacket
• Fleece or other warm sweater
• Light thermal underwear (especially in the autumn period for going out to sea)
• Hat and light gloves
• Comfortable closed shoes
• Raincoat
• Power bank
• Necessary medications

The level of service on the Kola Peninsula varies depending on the location. In Murmansk, everything is fine and nice.
